Beer Bread

I love this stuff.I once made four batches for a potluck...only one loaf made it there. Gooooood stuff. Bake with care.

3 c self-rising flour
1/3 c sugar
12 oz beer*
1/4 c butter

Mix flour, sugar and beer into a batter, and use the butter to grease the loaf pan. Reserve about half of the butter to place over the top of the batter. Pour batter into pan, drown in butter, and bake for an hour at 350 degrees F. That's it! Good luck on your self-control.

*Pete's Summer Ale seems to taste best, but I do believe it's considered a sin to *not* drink it if you have it. Budweiser makes a good bread, and not only does it save you from having to drink the stuff, it's cheaper.
